Are you ready for some Energy?
(New comers please start at "Done Complaining..." )
Ok where to start tonight? In our last posts we were discussing how electricity + water = hydrogen, oxygen & how we might use that to cut down on or eliminate our foreign energy consumption. In the last post we talked about how we could use hydrogen to power our vehicles & power plants. In this post we are going to talk about some common sense ways to make a lot of electricity from Mom nature. I started with a simple question. Is our govt trying to make green energy or make the most expensive green energy on the planet? I submit to you that it is the former, dont think so? Then sit right back & let me spin you a tale on how I see things.
First of all how do we make electricity? We find a way to turn a generator or electric motor. Yes if you turn a electric motor manually it makes electricity, how you turn it is up to you, steam, wind, water, ect. Keep that in mind it could come in handy someday when the world goes to pot. Anyway that is the basic method for making electricity. It doesnt matter if your blowing on a computer fan to light a flashlight bulb or a nuke power plant making steam to turn turbines or Niagara falls, its all the same thing.
So how do we get it from Mom nature? We use our God given brains thats how. 'Green energy' isnt exactly new ya know? The Romans were pretty good at it. If we could apply just some of their ideas, we could make a lot of power for pennies compared to what our govt is spending. What do I mean? Try this on for size. The Romans built multi stage water wheel grain mills. They put a square building in the middle of the river, water wheels on both sides & repeated it behind the first one, going down stream like a set of stairs. One had 16 wheels, 8 on each side & thats how they fed Rome. So what you say? Yea try doing a modern version of that in the middle of & the length of the Mississippi. Do I have your attention now? Even if we only did it to the bridge footings it would still be a ton of juice. We have lots of rivers, lakes & dams with absolutely no power generation on them. The north east ran on water power 100 years ago, now? Nothing.
Not enough you say? Ok time for some big guns. The most popular way of making electricity in this country is we make steam, to turn turbines, to turn generators. Umm how many volcano's do we have? There is a super volcano underneath Yellowstone national park. If you cant figure out how to make steam from a volcano then you need to take a trip to Greenland & learn. Dont tell the greenies I told ya about all this but its gonna blow some day. Taking heat out of it might just buy us a few more years. ;) .
Want more? Ok take a look at your cities, you see those glass buildings? Well 20% or so of what your looking at is only there to cover the beams & concrete floors, no one looks through them. So why arent they solar panels? Cause that would mean the govt would have to govern & that means saying no to people. Ever notice they arent very good at saying no to people? Its all appeasement all the time.
Every part of this country has some sort of 'free' resource. The south has sun & wind the plains have wind the north east & west have water & wind. As for wind Ive seen some amazing contraptions our forefathers thought up to power their factories out west in the early 1900's. Ive seen so many inventions & ideas that government just ignores, it makes me mad. Its about time we started using some of them.
Im a fan of many small things from the old wind mills that used to pump water on farms to water wheels that powered saw mills to the little paddle wheel on your pond to water turbines on the bottoms of rivers. Everyone should make some power even if its just a stupid pinwheel on a pole. Who cares how efficient it is if you got a bazillion of them & they're easy to make? Remember my plan is to make more electricity than we can possibly use. Then use the extra to make hydrogen to run our power plants & vehicles.
If govt was smart they would be finding ways to encourage people to put up solar panels & other such means. Thats where the subsidy money should be going. Do you have any idea how much acreage roofs take up in this country?
Tidal is another huge source of potential energy the tide goes in the tide goes out but no one has the guts to go up against all the lawyers & govt agencies that will attempt to prevent anyone from doing anything.
Ive got ideas but I dont have any money or power to fight them & their regulations. Im just a nobody & thats why I wrote this.

Hey Mikey I Think He Likes It
So what should I talk about tonight? Michelle getting Booed at a Nascar race? Ahem no no no cant talk about that... but Nascar fans are supposed to be the dumb ones right? Well maybe that tells you what the rest of us are thinking about ALL you politicians. Its about time you heard it in your ivory towers. I only wonder what took so long? Most of you should have been run out of town on a rail years ago. (Look it up, looks painful :)
But I digress, got scolded to watch my cussin, seek higher logic & clarity. I'll try but I aint making no promises. Im a construction worker by trade & I got a bone to pick with the powers that be so dont expect no miracles. All I got to offer is just some good old fashion common sense .
Now where was I ?..... Oh yea we were talking about a new energy policy for this country & I said we'd get to some things later. Ok just so we're all on the same page here. We were talking about how electricity plus water equals hydrogen & oxygen & how we can use that to power our economy. Now in our previous post I left you with two basic questions. How do we make so much renewable energy it over flows our electric gird into making hydrogen? Why would we want to use it as a fuel for our vehicles?
Ok fair enough, but let me tackle the second question first. The answer to the first question could fill a book so I'll deal with it in later posts.
So why would we want to use hydrogen as a fuel for our vehicles? Well for one thing V8 engines run fine on it. A few years ago BMW built the 750i/h It ran on gas, ethanol, natural gas, propane, & hydrogen. Can you say freer market? It like many other great ideas vanished from the face of the earth. Ford & others have been experimenting with them too but you can bet govt regs will make sure they never see the light of day. When a V8 engine burns hydro its almost pollutant free, batteries? Yea toxic, you dont want that stuff in the ground water, bad mojo.
So our factories get to keep building the same cars they've been building all along. What else is good about hydro? Well you'll never run out for one thing. No exploring to do, no drilling, no shipping, no refining, no pipe lines to send it through, no trucks to haul it to the stations.
We will still have to do a lot of these things just not for motor fuel, mostly for power plants, diesel & jet fuel. All because you make it on the spot E+H2O= H&O.
You can even make it in your garage but shhh. Dont tell the govt or you might find your butt in Gitmo. Hydro is explosive when mixed with oxygen which is why its never been used in vehicles before. What's that you say? You dont wanna drive a bomb?
Yea I hear ya, relax BMW solved that little problem too. The tanks they built were made from carbon fiber & bullet proof with pre engineered stress reliefs. Whaa? It means they break where they want them to break in the event of a collision, venting the gas away from the car. Ah Germans gotta love em, meticulous craftsmen, they think of everything. We used to be like that, I want to be like that again!
Think about it, if gasoline were discovered for the first time today could you ever get it approved as a motor fuel? I'll save the trouble no you couldnt!
Been catching some ows flack lately seems they think Im talking their lingo. Yea you can just stow that right now. This is about saving America one bright idea at a time & thats it! NOT about getting off fossil fuels or creating a socialist utopia or whatever hair brained idea you've got in your head
Its about getting the USA off foreign sources of energy, keeping that money HERE & keeping America the top dog in the world. Time to let the dogs out. Look out world America wants its cash back.

Done Complaining I wanna fix it !!
So the title of this blog is Fix America. I have a feeling this is going to turn into a very long blog with all the stuff that needs fixing in this country. Anyway, how DO we fix America? All I see in the news, on Facebook or on Twitter are complaints. A complaint is an excuse to do nothing as my Grandpa once said. Im sick of whiners, I wanna fix it not cry about whats broke! So how do we do it?
We use our imaginations to innovate new ways of doing things thats how. Things we are prevented from doing by special interests & narrow minded politicians. We are the worlds imagination land & its about time we imagined our way out of this mess. One way to solve what ails US besides cutting the govt down to a lean mean fighting weight is to have an energy policy that eliminates foreign sources. Imagine if all that money stayed here? We cant keep sending our wealth overseas to people who hate US. Even if it costs more I'd rather it stayed here.
Now before we begin please note I am for everything we can think of.

So you've read this far & you want an Energy policy, is that it? Well Ok lets get started.
My energy policy? Hmmm where do I start? Ok lets start with a fun science fact. Did you know that if you pass DC electricity through water it makes hydrogen & oxygen? Did you also know that when you burn hydrogen & oxygen together it turns back into water? Yes very clean, but why is it important?
Because electricity is easy make & hard to store, water is plentiful, V8 engines & normal electrical power plants can both run on hydrogen. Confused?
Ok let me lay it out for you a renewable source, could be anything, we'll talk about that later, but lets say a little wind mill like they had to pump water on the farm in the old days? Now instead of pumping water I hook it up to a generator & make electricity with it, with me so far?
Ok great I can make electricity but I cant power my house on that, the wind blows too much or doesnt blow at all right? Ok so I set up a bank of batteries to even out the peaks & valley's (this would be the power grid in a big scenario).
Ok now I can power my house, most of the time, off my new wind mill & batteries right? Yea not quite, sometimes the wind blows too much or not at all right? No wind, your batteries go dead, your shut down. Well when your wind mill makes to much electricity & your batteries are full you make hydrogen with the extra juice. Why? Because you can run your generator on hydrogen. Re charge your batteries ect ect.
But thats not a energy policy you say? umm yea it is if you scale it up. Your still confused? Ok here we go on the big picture:
Im not a fan of these giant wind mills hydro dams or solar parks, I'd much rather see a bazillion little things than a few monstrous things. I'll talk about what those bazillion little things could be later but lets just say for the sake of argument that every home or biz in America had a simple way to make some electricity from Mom nature. That would be a lot of juice wouldn't it? Now our power grid is designed to cope with second to second demand, making too much electricity is just as bad as not making enough so its a balancing act, never too much never too little.
I want to throw that idea out the window, stop worrying about making too much electricity. I want to use the extra juice to make hydrogen. Hydrogen that I can then burn later in a regular power plant like natural gas. Basically using the hydrogen like a battery or shock absorber. V8's engines run fine on it, as well as a surprising number of other fuels. So dont let the media or the govt tell you you have to ride around in their electric go carts cause you dont!

Ive had it with our fart sniffing leaders & govt !!!
Im no school teacher or English major so please bear with my spelling & punctuation. I was a construction worker who built things till these idiots crashed the economy. Now Im gonna be their worst nightmare. Unemploy me? Fine. I'll find my own way to fight back against you brainless MoFo's. I got my own plan to get this country moving again with or with out you. We are coming, expect us We the People, who you've ignored for far too long have had it with you & your games. Its time for you to get the hell out of the way. We've seen what you can do, nothing, but fill your pockets! Your days are numbered & I cant wait till they're all gone !

Im tired of people trying to divide us into separate groups so they can pit us against each other, Im tired of the govt telling me I cant do anything. Sit home, go to work, keep your head down, shut your mouth, dont smoke, dont eat salt, your kids too fat, dont make waves, & mind your own business, the govts in control. Yea thats the problem the echo's from the past are unnerving. I wrote this blog because Im a nobody that nobody listens to. That nobody is going to listen to because I dont have any paper work or connections or expensive schooling but enough is enough I tell you! This is our country we built it & its time to take it back from these arrogant condescending elitist fart sniffers who think they run this country but havent got a lick of common sense. If we all wanna live prosperous lives in a prosperous country again !!!

There is no fair in the constitution. Why? Because we are all created equal & that IS the fairest way.
Why is cronyism so bad? Because it makes people unequal, it protects what is & prevents what could be. In other words it prevents new shoots of imagination from springing up much like tall trees do in a forest. You cut off the light & nothing grows its that simple. We need to cut this forest of preventative regulation, old boy net works & back room deals down to size if we ever wanna see the kind of new growth & innovation our country is famous for. The kind of growth we need if we want our country to survive.

This is my first attempt at blogging so please bear with me while I learn the ropes
I created this blog because I finally got so pissed at the morons running our govt always telling US to trust them they're working on it, they are trying to fix it, we dont understand yada yada yada. I call bull crap on all that They arent trying to fix anything they like it just the way it is. Which is why they ALL gotta go as far as Im concerned.
What I want to focus on here is not hand wringing but some common sense solutions to what ails US because there obviously isnt any common sense left in Washington.
Its time to get this country moving again & by that I mean making more money than we spend. Yea I know what a novel concept. This blog is going to be about how we go about doing that.
Let me state right off the bat Im a Tea Party type person. I think you know how to spend your money better than the govt. That said lets get down to business.
In the following posts we're going to talk about an enegry plan that not only gets US off foriegn energy but is also more environmentally friendly. With out wrecking everything we've already created & without costing a fortune for uber expensive techie crap that will never see the light of day. Stuff & companies everyone knows are just political pay offs.
